I was working this afternoon — trying to get a few hours in on a side hustle I’ve got going on. Crossing some things off my to-do list. Finishing up a PowerPoint for a presentation I’ve got scheduled in the morning.
As I sat there I realized…I. Haven’t. Moved. In. Way. Too. Long.
Ugh!
Do you do that too?
Get caught up in the flow of work and getting lots of things accomplished and completely forgetting to get up and take a walk? To focus on something other than a computer screen for a while.
I took a deep breath and tilted my head from side to side. Then I rolled my shoulders.
It felt SOOOOOO GOOOOD! It felt so good I did it again. Shoulder rolls, bending over at the waist, moving from side to side, bending my knees.
Sometimes it’s enough to just be able to move freely.
So that’s what I’m grateful for today — a deep breath and a big stretch.
