I am a woman of “the shoe.”
I’ve had a lifelong love affair with shoes from the time I was a little girl, and my mom took me shoe shopping downtown. The shoe seller would kneel at my feet and place those ruby red slippers on my outstretched feet. Okay, usually they were black or brown leather…sensible shoes, but still, I felt like Dorothy or Cinderella.
